In addition to religious wood carvings, the Val Gardena region is known for its wide range of profane wooden artworks. Among the most popular motifs are ballerinas – graceful figures that often adorn music boxes. In terms of artistic value and craftsmanship, they are on par with sacred sculptures.

Within the profane collection of Franco, you’ll find a beautifully detailed ballerina. She is available in two sizes – 13 cm or 19 cm – and wears a blue or pink glazed dress in the colored version.

The ballerina can optionally be equipped with a built-in music mechanism, which adds 5 cm in height and allows her to dance to classical melodies such as “Bolero”, “The Blue Danube” or “Swan Lake”.
