This pair of candle angels carved from maple wood combines artistic design, historical inspiration and harmonious expressiveness. The two angels are depicted on cloud motifs, each carrying a richly decorated candlestick on which a candle can be placed. While one angel gently gazes to the left, the other looks to the right, creating a balanced overall impression. Inspired by the traditional Baroque art of the Marian pilgrimage church of Maria Steinbach in the Allgäu, created in 1762 by the master Johann Georg Üblherr (1700–1763), this ensemble conveys a festive and majestic atmosphere. The richly detailed carving makes the pair a valuable ornament for Your home or art collection.
