The finely balanced proportions and slightly tilted head give the piece a quiet depth. At the same time, the Corpus appears youthful due to its slender build and smooth body shape – lending the work a particularly moving aura.

A special highlight is the elegantly draped loincloth: held at the side by a cord, it opens dynamically across the thigh. This design emphasizes the body’s movement and highlights the figure’s natural anatomy.

Carved from maple wood, the work impresses with its fine detailing – from the crown of thorns to the wounds and the expression of silent devotion on the face.
